Asia'H Epperson Season Recap

Asia'h Epperson was a Top 24 finalist on American Idol Season 7. She was eliminated from the show on March 6, 2008, after making it to the Top 16. Her father was killed in a car accident two days before her first audition in Atlanta.

This young lady has amazing talent and deserves a second chance to tour with the top 10 finalists. Hopefully this time enough people will decide to vote for her and send her all the way to the top American Idol. With so many fan clubs around and Idol fans this really should not be that difficult.

Over the course of next few weeks Asia'h Epperson would go on to add to her fan list as she breezed her way into the top 12 women at the American Idol. Sadly Asia'h could not keep up her momentum and was eliminated just when she was beginning to become the odds on favorite to win the Season 7 American Idol crown.

American Idol left millions of viewers disappointed when Asia'h Epperson was voted off the show prematurely. Often on American Idol true talents (remember Paris Bennett) are voted off in a popularity contest before they are able to shine at their most brilliant.

Kellie has come a long way since her debut on season 5 of American Idol. The cute, country singer has a record deal with 19 Recordings/BNA Records, in which she released her first album ?Small Town Girl.? The album was the best-selling debut by a solo country artist in the year it was released and went gold on January 2007.

Asia'h Epperson is a very attractive girl. She has a lot of talent and is surely going to find a career in performing, whether that is through her music or in front of the camera. She has a great personality so if she can find a way to convince a producer to give her a chance at acting, she might find herself on TV.

It seems that the judges were surprised when Asia'h Epperson was voted off. Their critique of her last performance was very good. Randy said "that was hot!”. Paula said that Asia'h "nailed it”. Even Simon suggested that she was at least "good enough for the top 12″. Unfortunately it was not to be. Asia'h said she feared one of the contributing factors of her getting voted off was having to go first in the show. Perhaps that was true as the early performances can sometimes be forgotten by the time the last few performers sing.

Before he starts revealing the Top 12, Ryan says more than 36 million votes were cast on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Ryan also congratulates Paula Abdul for having the No. downloaded video on iTunes. Let's get to the results.

There are tones for every kind of music. They have: Rap tones, Latin tones, Country sounds, even Gospel! What ever music you love, the ring tone from that song or sound is available at Flycell.

There is no other explanation for why Joanne sounds like whiny little Philipino girl and Ramielle sounds like a big black lady. Her necklace is the secret to her power! She must be stopped!

Maybe people vote for genres. Kristy is the only country contestant left. She gets the country vote. Amanda gets the rock vote, though that might be over now that you vote for the guys and the girls on the same night.

Asia'h Epperson is up first. Lavender high-waisted stretchy pants are not a good omen. Epperson says her most embarrassing moment was being an extra on a movie about roller skating and falling in front of everyone. This girl needs a gig on America's Next Top Model, have her people call Tyra Banks and get this girls some help!

The show has made a few changes this year, including allowing contestants to use musical instruments, an element that originated on Australian Idol and can also be seen on Norwegian Idol and Canadian Idol, building a brand new set, and creating a new introduction credit sequence. This year's season finale will be moved from the Kodak Theatre to the larger Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles.

David has experience singing. In 2003, when he was 12, he won the Junior Singer category of Star Search. Now that he is grown up, he is winning over America again– this time on the biggest reality show on television. The harshest critic of them all backs Archuleta up.

David Hernandez does not have a unanimous decision, and after he makes it, Simon tells him he was the hold out that didn't want him there. He'll have to work very hard to stay in there. There will be some tense moments, then, between Simon and David during the show when he doesn't do well. He, too, breaks down in the elevator.

Paula told her she was pretty which means she hated the singing but was too much of a drugged-up pussy to say so. Simon, on the other hand, had no qualms about telling her he was bored to tears.

David Hernandez took that up and he was great. Nice smooth voice and showed more of what he could do vocally compared to his San Diego auditions. It sounded effortless as well with his little vocal gymnastics. Definitely one to look out for in the finals David Hernandez. The only thing that might stop him are his nerves. Sure did not look confident before and even after.

Coat of many colors. Kristy singing an actual country song, and nothing about it worked at all. She didn?t have to hillbilly-up this song at all: it came that way, all tied up pretty with a big ol' country bow, just waiting for her to hammer it home and she didn?t. It was the weakest performance of the evening from the one person that this genre suits the best. Paula thought it was her best performance, Simon thought it was pleasant but forgettable. Ryan Seacrest loved the French pedicure, which should answer a lot of questions for anyone who still has any questions about Ryan Seacrest and whether or not Kristy is nail biting back stage. Verdict: Bottom three, possibly going home.

Before Seacrest signs off, Simon declares Amanda the best performance of the night, and the other two nod furiously in agreement. Ok, what is going on? Is Amanda blackmailing all of the judges?? Why the big push for her tonight?

David Cook might give Asia'H a run for her money but arrogance won't bring you that far unless you had something original. He finally tried to do something like that this week and gave some credit to bands and artistes whom he borrowed the arrangements of songs he sung in previous weeks, after being called out. Asia'H Epperson usually stuck to the originals and sang her heart out, but that might have been her mistake in doing so as she was often compared to the original singers, if a little bit unfairly.

Kristy Lee Cook (Horse-loving blonde). Last week's power ranking: 10[.] Kristy Lee is a tomboy and of course, she loves her some horses. Kristy Lee looks hot tonight in her silver top and black jeans. After watching her, there are a lot of Ladies who will need relationship advice for women if their Husbands or Boyfriends get a glimpse of Kristy!

Each eliminated contestant gets their own song. Asia'h's is "Hollywood is Not America” by Ferras. Paula says, "This is one beautiful, talented, brave star…there's nothing, nothing that's going to stop you.” Paula's optimism is kind of charming in the face of her complete denial. The truth is, most of these kids who don't make the Top 12 will fade into obscurity within a few weeks. After her video rolls, Ryan asks Asia'h if she wants to sing out. She bucks up and says yes. She performs–significantly less peppy than the night before. She looks so disappointed.

Kyle Ensley is incomprehensibly still around. He's singing that stupid Josh Groban song that everyone's aunt loves. He actually makes it to the top 50. What the hell is going on? Joey Catalano is cut. Syesha Mercado's voice is getting worn down, but she pushes through it and gets put through to the top 50.

Asia'h Epperson Rocks On Week 1

Asia'h Epperson Rocks On Week 1 American Idol

Asia'h Epperson probably had the best performance of the night on round 1 of American Idol. She came out with an upbeat song that just blew the audience and judges away, including Simon Cowell. Simon had been shooting most of the girls down all night, but Asia'h Epperson had him saying it was the best performance of the night.

Asia'h had a great stage performance. It's like she commanded the stage while she was up there. You could tell that she was really having fun and it was nice to see all 3 American Idol judges enjoy Asiah' Epperson's performance.

I believe it's a no brainer that we'll see her continue on to the next round. As you know, with anything American Idol, it's no guarantee, but if anyone continues on to the next round of American Idol, it should be Asia'h Epperson.

Is Asia'h Epperson Good Enough To Survive American Idol?

Asia'h Epperson is a very talented and gifted artist, but good enough for the Top 12? It remains to be seen whether or not Asia'h Epperson is good enough to make American Idol's Top 12..

A Few Things Asia'h Epperson Will Have To Do

Asia'h Epperson will have to sing songs like never before to capture viewers hearts. Song selection is critical and choosing the wrong song will send Asia'h Epperson home from the American Idol competition.

Not only is the song selection very important for him, but Asia'h Epperson will have to be at her best. As there are only a few true amateurs in the Top 24, this will make it harder for Asia'h Epperson to reach the top 12.

Everybody knows by now that most of the Top 24 American Idol competitors have had either previous recording contracts or professional experience. This is something Asia'h Epperson as well as the other American Idol contenders will have to deal with.

What about the American Idol judges?

Now that they're in the weekly competition, the Judges decision will not affect Asia'h Epperson as much as in previous shows when Paula Abdul, Randy Jackson and Simon Cowell had the final decision. No, the judges will critique Asia'h Epperson but it will be the American Idol viewers who have the final say in whether or not Asia'h Epperson stays or goes.

Does Looks Hurt or Help Asia'h Epperson?

Let's face it, Asia'h Epperson is one of the better looking competitors this year on American Idol. Whether we like it or not, looks matter and this is an advantage for Asia'h Epperson. There were rumors that you could see some black skin acne scars while she was on stage. If they were there, I didn't notice them nor anyone I know didn't either. Not only do looks count, but the wardrobe selection also matters, again, Asia'h Epperson has shown style and class when choosing what to, or what not, to wear on stage.

Not only do looks count, but stage presence also counts and this is another positive that Asia'h Epperson has. Asia'h Epperson commands the stage and is entertaining to watch move around the stage. Interacting with the audience is another area where Asia'h Epperson shines. Viewers like seeing performers interacting with the crowds.

What, If Any, Changes Should Asia'h Epperson Make?

It's no secret that the American Idol Judges do not like to see competitors perform easy songs. They want the performers stretch their musical limits. This may be one area where Asia'h Epperson does not have an edge. Asia'h Epperson will have to resist the temptation so choose easy songs and pick hard songs that will not only impress the judges, but the Viewers as well.

Since there's been 6 years of American Idol so far, Asia'h Epperson or the other competitors should not have a problem choosing songs. They should know what the viewers and judges like.

Another area that Asia'h Epperson needs to stay away from is trying to sound like a famous performer. We've seen many American Idol competitors go down because they tried to be like someone else other than their self. Let's watch and see who makes this mistake this year.

Also, Asia'h Epperson will want to watch what she says during interviews each week. We all know the camera looks for weeknesses. Asia'h Epperson doesn't want to be seen appearing week or over confident. Both turn off Judges and TV watchers. There have been several times in the past that American Idol viewers were turned off by competitors appearing whining or cocky. Asia'h Epperson will have to avoid making either of these mistakes.

Asia'h Epperson Will Need Help From Other American Idol Competitors

Just selecting the right song, wearing the right clothes and having a perfect performance may not be enough for Asia'h Epperson. Asia'h Epperson will need help from other American Idol competitors as well. This means that at least one contestant will have to have poor song selection or have a poor performance for Asia'h Epperson to make it to the American Idol top 12.

This will be true all the way to the end. As long as viewers dislike one other contestant more than they dislike Asia'h Epperson, there'll be a spot in the Top 12 waiting.

What Impact Will The American Idol Judges Have?

If history is any indication, the American Idol Judges criticism will have little effect on whether or not Asia'h Epperson makes it into the top 12. In the past, Simon, Paul and Randy have critisized competitors who made it all the way to the end. Although Asia'h Epperson may have feelings that get hurt by bad comments from the Judges, it will be the viewers who ultimately decide on whether or not Asia'h Epperson makes it into the American Idol Top 12. For example, last year Taylor Hicks was critisized several times by Simon as being nothing more than a lounge singer, yet viewers ultimately chose him as the American Idol for Season 6. Asia'h Epperson will need to make sure the crowds are pleased, not the Judges.

What Do The American Idol Viewers Like?

American Idol is really about contemporary Pop music. That is the most popular music played today and that's where the money is and American Idol knows this. This is why country singers, Blues and Rock singers have all had a hard time making it into the Top 12. They're trying to sing songs that they are not familiar or comfortable with. I believe Chris Daughtery is a fine example. He probably made it further than any other Non-Pop singer and by all rights, was by far the best of all of Season 6 competitors. So how did Taylor Hicks win? Because he had a better stage performance than Chris and could sing popular songs while doing it.

All in all, Asia'h Epperson has a pretty good chance of making American Idol's Top 12. If you're a fan of Asia'h Epperson, you need to get on the phone each week and vote to make sure it happens. Only time will tell whether or not Asia'h Epperson is in the Top 12.

Asia'h Epperson Into American Idol Top 24

Asia'h Epperson Top 12 American Idol

Yahooooo!Asia'h Epperson has advanced with style in American Idol's competition into the Top 24. Asia'h Epperson was one of the early favorites and easily won the spot in the Top 24 American Idol list.

The next stage for Asia'h Epperson and other American Idol hopefuls is the weekly competiton rounds leading up to American Idol's Top 12. Unlike previous American Idol competition's, these are voted on by you the viewer, not determined by the judges. No one doubts that Asia'h Epperson has what it takes to make the American Idol top 12. All that stands in the way is a poor performance or poor song choice, or perhaps even a bad night by the judges.

Asia'h Epperson certainly has a bank of songs to choose from. However, as we've seen in the past, some American Idol hopefuls do a poor job of choosing songs and this could be Asia'h Epperson's downfall on the American Idol stage.

Asia'h Epperson will need the smooth yet powerful voice to help advance in the competition, no doubt. And let’s face it. There have been American Idol contestants in the past who’ve made it a long ways in the compeition that wasn’t as talented as Asia'h Epperson. But we all know that sometimes it’s not the most talented that go on to the Top 12 in American Idol competition, sometimes it’s nothing more than a local favorite getting their hometown (read Sanjiya) to vote for them.

Asia'h Epperson has what it takes to make it to the Top 3 in the American Idol competition, the only question mark at this time is can it be done with a fickle crowd and can the song choices and performances go off without a hitch?

We’ll just have to turn on American Idol and watch American Idol every week to see if Asia'h Epperson can wow the fans of American Idol.

Asia'h Epperson

Asia'h Epperson

Asia'h Epperson is one of the sob stories this year on season 7 american idol. Asia'h Epperson's father died in a car wreck just two days before her audition. She could have went back home, but she stuck it out and belted out a tear jerking tune for the American idol judges by LeAnn Rhimes. I think even Randy and Simon had tears in their eyes.

There was no way Asia'h Epperson was going home empty handed after that performance. Asia'h Epperson just happens to be a sweetheart about the whole thing also. Of course, it doesn't hurt that she can sing also!

You'll see more of Asia Epperson in the upcoming weeks on american idol. What's funny is that many people are having a hard time pronouncing and spelling her first name. Some say it's Asia Epperson, some say it's Asiah Epperson while others get it right and spell it Asia'h Epperson.

I'm sure just as long as you vote for her, Asia'h Epperson will not care how you spell or pronounce her first name!

Asia'h Epperson comes from Joplin Mo. and auditioned in Atlanta Georgia. Her favorite performers are Mariah Carey, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera, Toni Braxton.

Some of her favorite pastimes include Dancing, sports, fashion, make-up, acting. Seems that Asia'h Epperson is very well rounded in her likes. You can catch Asia'h Epperson each week on american idol.
